Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Michael Flower presides over the MDM companies and their respective divisions. Michael is a service-disabled veteran and a successful and recognized entrepreneur. He has been working in energy infrastructure and management for more than 40 years, founding MDM in 1984.  Under his years of leadership, he has piloted MDM with his experience in business formulation, and development and implementation of long-term growth strategies.  MDM has successfully excelled in project and customer satisfaction in public utilities, private industry, international energy, and government projects work, with revenues in excess of $600M.   Michael has earned the prestigious Inc. Magazine’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” for Orange County, California, one of the top five entrepreneurial markets in the United States. Over the years, he has also been an invited lecturer on entrepreneurship at significant universities and has provided consultation to countless new business enterprises including execution of business disposition strategies ranging up to $500MM. Prior to 1984, Michael served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear operator aboard both submarines and surface ships. Michael has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

President and Chief Financial Officer

As President and CFO, Cynthia Williams brings a track record of operational excellence with over 37 years of experience in the energy industry.  During that time, she helped build MDM from the ground up, being responsible for every facet of MDM’s business model; development of all back-office functions, including financial systems and reporting, human resources, compliance, risk management, business development/marketing, legal and corporate affairs. She has achieved outstanding results through her strategic vision and disciplined execution. Cynthia’s passion for being involved in business start-ups has allowed her to apply her leadership skills to several unrelated businesses that have successfully achieved their exit strategies or continue to flourish. Today as President and CFO, she is responsible for leading the execution of the organization’s strategic plan while ensuring that MDM continues to deliberately and thoughtfully implement processes that provide great customer and employee experiences.

President of Land Services Group

As President of our Land Services Group, Mike Bryant has been working in the land management services business for more than 33 years. Mike specializes in the oil and gas, renewables, utilities, communications and transportation industries. He leads the Land Services Group with extensive land management consulting experience, project execution, leadership, and business development skills. He started his land consulting career as a Senior Right-of-Way Agent and was promoted through the land management services disciplines of Senior Vice President. He has successfully managed land and survey teams throughout the country with superior financial achievement.  Mike has tenaciously continued to enforce the goal of providing clients with the highest level of land management consulting services through quality personnel and project execution and has built his team to accomplish this goal.

President of Regulatory and Public Affairs

As President of our Regulatory and Public Affairs Group, Doug Sipe has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry. His experience includes project execution, program/project leadership, technical expertise, stakeholder communications and public/government affairs, environmental and regulatory strategies, risks, and interaction with regulatory bodies. Doug was with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for 16 years in the Office of Energy Projects. He was responsible for directing FERC’s “Outreach” initiatives and advising federal, state, and local agencies; elected officials; the natural gas industry; FERC staff; and other stakeholders on the Commission’s Regulations, Policies, and Processes for the siting, construction, and operation of natural gas facilities. Since leaving FERC, he developed our Regulatory and Public Affairs Group that advises and consults with energy companies; agencies; elected officials; and other stakeholders on the efficient siting of energy infrastructure nationwide. He directs the preparation of National Environmental Policy Act documentation and federal agency consultation supporting permit applications and approvals. His energy regulatory and stakeholder engagement expertise provides much needed and unique opportunities for support on current and future energy projects.

President of Energy and Infrastructure Services Group

As President of our Energy Services Group, Bon Roberson has over 25 years of experience in construction management, pipeline and facilities construction, as well as O&M integrity maintenance programs. Bon started his career executing and managing pipeline and facilities construction projects in the oil and gas industry. Starting off as construction manager and estimator, he quickly advanced in his field. He can credit his success to the high standards in construction management consulting and he expects others to follow when achieving customer satisfaction on projects. After 15 years in the construction industry, he entered into a management role at a construction management inspection firm. He was soon promoted to Vice President based upon his results-oriented and client-focused style of leadership.

Land Director

As Director of Land, Brad Busselman has been in the land management services industry for more than 16 years, and leads business development for his group, as well as providing operational support for new and ongoing right-of-way projects. He brings extensive experience representing energy companies and securing right of way for respective expansion projects, as well as contract negotiations, project estimates, budgeting, and staffing solutions.   Previously, Brad was Director of Land for the Gulf Coast Region at Willbros Engineering/TRC Solutions, where he provided land management consulting and business development solutions.  Brad has been a member of the IRWA since 2006 and currently holds real estate and right-of-way licenses in Texas and Florida.

Manager of Public Affairs

As Manager of Public Affairs, Erica Jeung has been in the energy industry for more than 15 years and with MDM since 2016. Her experience excels in community outreach, public/government affairs, FERC processes, navigating opposition groups, project messaging, project management, project controls, and business development. Her knowledge of the energy industry and ability to gather, analyze, and implement research on the affected communities allows her to develop successful messaging for each project. She has executed FERC projects, oil and gas facilities, and other linear and non-linear energy infrastructure projects in an outreach capacity. Prior to working with MDM, Erica worked at Willbros Engineering/TRC Solutions in their Professional Services Division and Petroleum Field Services as a Lead Project Manager. During her time in the energy industry, Erica has participated in many organizations, most recently, the Rocky Mountain Pipeliners Club where she holds seats on several committees.

Manager of Business Development 

As Manager of Business Development, Candice Salyer is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, having started her career in 2008 with a reputable engineering and field services firm based in Houston, TX.  With her impressive track record and extensive knowledge of the industry, Candice quickly transitioned to a business development role where she excelled in selling engineering and inspection services. Subsequently, she worked with multiple pipeline construction companies, further expanding her energy business acumen. Prior to joining our team, Candice led a business development team responsible for selling survey, right-of-way, and inspection services.  Throughout her career, Candice has built strong and long-lasting professional relationships that have been vital to her success in business development. She is a graduate of Texas State University where she earned a degree in Mass Communications.  She is also an active member of the Southern Gas Association, where she served as a committee member from 2012-2016 and on the Board of Directors from 2016-2017. Currently, Candice is a member of the Pipeliner’s Association of Houston.
